Timothy Wayne McCardle

Dermatopathologist

Dr McCardle is board certified in anatomic pathology and dermatopathology. He earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed a pathology residency at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital, where he also completed a surgical pathology fellowship. He then completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of South Florida. Dr McCardle’s independent research on frontal polymerizations led him to design and develop a technique, now known as ascending frontal polymerizations, that led to his developing and patenting a new class of plastics called functionally gradient polymers. Dr McCardle is a member of the American College of Pathologists, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Dermatopathology, and the International Society of Dermatopathology.
