Lixia Liu

Dr Liu is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. She received her medical degree from Inner Mongolia Medical University, China and was appointed as an assistant professor at Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China. Dr. Liu earned her PhD from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Dr Liu completed residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Wisconsin and University of Louisville. She then completed a fellowship in gastrointestinal and liver pathology at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Her clinical interests include gastrointestinal pathology, immunohistochemistry, and molecular oncology. Dr Liu has extensive research experience and a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her clinical research in esophageal carcinoma and neuroendocrine tumors has resulted in publications in the American Journal of Surgical Pathology and Modern Pathology. She joined LabCorp Pathology at CMBP in 2005.
