Dr. Chan is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He earned his medical degree at Fatima University College of Medicine in Venezuela, Metro Manila, the Philippines. He completed residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at University of South Florida in Tampa where he also completed a semi-fellowship in surgical oncology and advanced anatomic pathology and clinical pathology rotations. He received fellowship training in surgical pathology at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, and in gastrointestinal and liver pathology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. Dr. Chan is a member of the College of American Pathologists, the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the New York Pathological Society, and the Los Angeles Society of Pathologists.
