Dr Riba is board certified in anatomic pathology. He received his medical degree from Tishreen University, Lattakia, Syria. Dr Riba completed his residency training at St. Barnabas Health Care System, New Jersey. He held the position, administrative chief resident, in the final year of training. He completed a surgical anatomy fellowship at Yale University. Dr Riba assumed a position of assistant professor at Yale University, CT. He then held the position of medical director at PLUS Diagnostics and Miraca Life Science Laboratories, during which he completed two years of gastrointestinal pathology fellowship. He then held a position of associate medical director at QDX Pathology Services. Dr Riba has 13+ years of experience as medical director in a complex, high volume laboratory setting. He has lectured and authored several articles on gastrointestinal and urological pathology. Dr Riba accepted the role of GI medical director position at Labcorp pathology, February 2020.
